Vancouver City Print

Raymond Biesinger

This is Vancouver on the 3rd of September 1962, the day the Transcanada Highway officially opened, and it's one of a series of images  Raymond Biesinger made between April of 2012 and November of 2014 showing a selection of Canadian cities. Consider it part of a getting-to-know-you exercise with the nation's architecture and history. Of course, this focuses on downtown, and the east border could be thought of as Main, and the south as Broadway.

Screenprinted in an edition of 106 copies by Séripop in May of 2014 at 24" square, two colours on white 10 pt Domtar Byronic smooth cover paper. Dimensions include a 1.5" margin. Signed and editioned.
